Todd Strange is a job-creation expert.  He played a leading role in creating more than 10,000 local jobs with the Hyundai manufacturing facility and its suppliers.  Hyundai continues to attract related industry to the River Region.

“I will mandate that law enforcement institute new and different approaches to fighting crime in Montgomery.  We need more police on the streets, more patrols in neighborhoods and strategically-placed police substations throughout the city.  It’s time to attack crime with innovative approaches.”

Todd Strange is helping keep criminals off the streets. He was instrumental in negotiating the Montgomery County Detention Facility expansion, which will add about 700 beds to the existing jail. 

 

Also during Todd Strange’s tenure on the commission, Montgomery County increased Sheriff’s Deputy pay and benefits, funded new training and equipment for law enforcement and expanded alternative sentencing programs.

Todd Strange helped build new schools and renovate existing facilities across the county while Chairman of the County Commission. He expects to work closely with the school board, city and county officials and the community to continually improve how our children are educated.

 

“We need to expand pre-K programs, strengthen reading, math and science initiatives, expand Advanced Placement opportunities and create thematic high schools.”
